I’ve Replaced my front brakes three times as of this last weekend. I purchased my Journey this time last year. Any news regarding a recall or anything Dodge is doing to fix this problem would help.

I just purchased this Dodge Journey 2010 in November, 2010. the rotor is whooped which makes the car feel like a roller coaster whenever attempting to come to a stop. I plan to take it in this week to get service done. I need to know what I can do.

      • #3 LemonLaw says:

Make sure you get a repair invoice when picking up the car from the shop. If you are in three or more times for this problem, call us at 1-800 LEMON LAW.

I have had my 2010 Dodge Journey since March of 2010. I will be going into the mechanic for a 3rd time regarding my brakes. The 1st time (which was at about 3000 miles) they just grinded down the rotors. The 2nd time (at 7000 miles) I was a little more persistent and they replaced the brake pads/rotors. I am now at almost 19000 miles and I need them replaced again. What can be done about this? I did not have to pay for the previous repairs but it is a huge onconvenience and a headache driving with a steering wheel that bangs and shakes when you apply the brakes.

          • #5 LemonLaw says:

You have a potential breach of warranty claim that you could pursue. Also, Dodge is now extending their warranties on brakes to 36,000 miles so you know they are aware of the problem. if you want to discuss your situation with us, call 1-800 LEMON LAW.

I am having other issues with my 2010 dodge journey other then brakes and rotors. This makes our second dodge journey cause our first was a lemon , but of course they wouldn’t admit to it. they told us they would only trade it for another 2010 journey. Now 18, 000 miles later having the same issues. In passing gear our check engine light flashes and the vehicle shakes and losses power. It eventually stoppes, but just not sure when it will break down for good. We have had it in the shop twice now, and they said it was fixed. Not sure what to do now, its in there for the third time today.

I have a 2009 Journey, and I also have had my vehicle in the shop for brakes, pads and rotors, which I was required to pay for the repairs. This was at 18,000 miles and only 2 months ago. The brakes are an issue again as the vehicles shakes and steering wheel vibrates pretty bad when applying the brakes.

I did receive the “letter” from Chrysler informing me that there is a problem with the braking system and they will repair/replace for a deductible of $100…are you kidding me?

I also have had the issue of losing power and engine light coming on when driving up a very “slight” grade…they have yet to determine this problem.

I purchased my vehicle in Indiana, but now reside in Tennessee.

Kimberly, were any parts repaired during your last visit? If so, you may already have a parts warranty which come into play.

                        • #12 Kimberly Morrow says:

This is what the service invoice states:

Perform friction pad replacement and brake rotor resurface. Repack wheel bearings and replace grease seal…performed brake service.

                          Cost: $185.00

                          • #13 Kimberly Morrow says:

And, this was performed on 2/16/11 with milage of 21,442

Contact Chrysler corporate. There is no reason why you should have to fork over another $100 if the probem is persisting.

                              • #15 Kimberly Morrow says:

I have contacted the Service Manager of my dealership down here, advising him that I have received the “letter” and “they” appear to have some “serious problems”. He pulled my records and requested that I bring the vehicle in on 6/15 (Wednesday, this week) and they would “correct” the problem. Problem is, the braking system is not of sufficient size for the vehicle…it is also causing problems with the “toe-in” on my front tires…both tires are wearing fast on the “inside”…

I will keep you informed as to my progress. Thank you very much for not “just brushing me off” as a silly woman!

You are not being silly at all. You are a driver who is aware of a problem. Kudos to you for taking action. Please keep us informed.

My 2009 Journey is in the shob right now. They just called to tell me it is the rear brakes and rotors this time. I had the front brakes replaced less then a year ago at 25,000 miles. I am nervous they are not telling me the truth because of all of the issues surrounding the brakes and that they are just going to replace my front brakes again and charge me for the back brakes so I have to pay for them. Anyone else had rear brake issues?

                                    • #18 Ryan says:

Please email me what I can do about the total lack of customer service chrysler has given all of us on the 2010 dodge journey brakes. My fiancee’s journey made it to 24,000 miles before the rotors showed just how warped they were. I really wish I could get rid of the vehicle since chrysler is still making us pay 100 dollar deductible – they aren’t taking responsibility for the whole problem. I am very interested in joining a lawsuit.

An update from the 6/13 post…I took my 2009 Journey into Mountain Valley Motors in Blue Ridge, GA…they put my car up on the lift and showed me the pads (destroyed) and rotors (warped) on the front brakes…”they” said the callipers were OK…then they showed me the pads and rotors on the rear…also shot!!!

They replaced front rotors and pads and turned the rear rotors and installed new pads.

I was expecting a “knock down drag out fight” with them about the invoice, but when the Service Manager handed me my keys, he also gave me an invoice…balance due $ 00.00!!! I was geninuely surprised. I also submitted my invoice from the first brake job on 2/16 to Chrysler, with a copy of the letter.

I just received my check from Chrysler, $185 minus $50…or $135.00.

Two complete brake jobs for $50…I can handle that…as long as I don’t continue to have issues.

However, I am told that the callipers need to be replaced, also, as they will continue to cause the rotors to warp…time will tell!

I have a 2010 dodge journey november 2010 and I had my car in the shop for the last 2 months. The steering wheel vibrates when stopping. I have taken my car in the shop 10-12 times for the exact problem. The car’s tires have been balanced a dozen times. The dealership where I took it put new rims and tires on the car and the problem was still the same problem. I told them it is not the tires and wheels it was the front end. I finally got fed up with I spoke with the manager of the dealership. He told me that it would be best to called Chrylser. They told me that I need to take my car back to where I bought it and let them handle it. Since they would not doing anything for it. Since I was past the 12K on my car. I told them that it was 2 hours away and that I would be with out my car all week. Plus all of the times to I have to take off to do all the other times I have had to take off to take it to the dealership, but did not see to bother her. I took it to the dealership where I bought and got a call today telling us that the rotors are warped, brakes need to be replaced and a front end alignment. Which I did not need a front end alignment until I took it to the other dealership. Looks like we are at least $500 repair. Which is ridiculous!!!! What can I do??? Help!!!!

Have had my 2010 Journey since February this year. Several times now the panic alarm just starts going off. Honking and lights flashing. The buttons on the key fob will do nothing to stop it. I have to remove the actual key from the fob unlock the door and start the car with the fob for it to stop. Woke the entire family up this morning at 12:36 a.m. Was just in dealer on Tuesday for this problem but they couldn’t get it to act up. Have an appt tomorrow for them to look at again. Also a few weeks ago my air conditioner would blow hot air never cold. Pulled over on highway restarted car and what do you know cold air. Something electrical is going on. I am also starting to have the shaking problem everyone has written about. Brake pads replaced and rotors turned also 3 weeks ago. Paid $50.00 for that at only 14,000 miles. I have bought Dodge/Jeep for the last 16 years (7 cars) and this is the first product I am upset with.

I live in NJ and have a 2010 which was purchased in January 2010 which has 21,600 miles on it.

I am experincing the same problem with my brakes. I step on them and the car vibrates. My first two trips were for the front brakes which were serviced at 9,500 miles and again at 19,700 miles.

Today 8/8 is my third trip for brakes and a recall for the remote start which could turn the vehicle off. The manager now tells me that it will cost me over $300.00 to repait the rear brakes because they are out of warranty.

Please provide the link where it states that Chrysler has extended the warranty for brakes to 36,000 so I can print and show them.

This is BS as they know full and well that these brakes are defective coming from the factory and that they are responsible.

I have purchase and/or leased no less than 6 vehicles from this dealership and demaded that they make good as they are Chrysler’s representatives.

That link will help all of us.

Terrible front brake and rotor problems. 3 times for front brakes and rotors and the car after only 4,ooo miles from last set is shaking like crazy yet again. Something needs to be done. This is so unexceptable. First set was at 19,000 then only 16,000 miles later then only 8,000 miles later for the third set. Now I am only 4,000 miles after last set. It is getting worse if that is possible. I have a case number with chyrsler. I recevied letter for reimbursment with deductable which is ridiculous. The worse shaking occurs at about 50 miles an hour..But also occurs anywhere from 30-60 mph. This is ridiculous, and scary.. I was told that the braking systems were overhauled for the 2011 year.. Also another annoyance, my dashboard, the leather, has been bubbling since I bought the car in April. Apprently the dealer ordered a new dash, yet neglected to call me and only mentioned it today when I called on the brake issue. I am so frustrated. I have driven Dodge since 2000, and now thinking I should have went with the GMC Acadia I wanted….

Around 1500 hundred miles the brakes started squeeling. then around 6500 miles the steering wheel began to shake when I used the brakes.. took it to the dealer… said I need new brakes that they had to order them… its now going on 3 weeks… we were told some of them came in the others are on BACKORDER!!! brakes on backorder.. that sends me a red flag… are there none produced where its a new model or are there a shortage cause the brakes are having the same issues as the prior models? Im still waiting on the car to be serviced… today the passenger illuminated mirror on the visor stopped working it no longer lights up… IDK so far its not looking too promising that the 2011 are any better…

I too have had the front end shake when braking a couple of months ago but didn’t think anything of it. About 2 months ago I heard a squeaking noise from the back right side tire…my fiance checked the tired and noticed the heat coming off of it…took it into the shop, they kept the car for 1 week, and by the way Chrysler does not offer rental cars anymore, after looking at the car, they said the caliper was sticking but everything was okay….well now two months later, same thing is happening, took it in and they called today telling me I need a new back end brake system, I have ONLY 30,000 miles on the car and they told me it would cost over $300 to fix. I am going into the dealership tomorrow to raise hell. I am also printing out this site and comments to show them. Oh..I live in Griffith, Indiana and the dealership is Thomas Dodge in Highland, Indiana

Bought my car in June 2009 just got both my front and rear breaks and roaters replaced for $200 deductible =[ got my letter of warranty extended after 24 months.. Back breaks had only 1/4 left and tech said my tires (factory dunlop) are 50% warn…. I did have an issue the first 12 months with the car turning off out of no where.. This happened twice. Though it was just crazy me. I have also had the issue with the alarm going off when I use the key fob to unlock the car. The alarm won’t shut off till I use the key in the ignition. This has happened 4 times in 27 months. I have also had the touch screen on my radio go blank or not respond to touch 3 times.. I have to shut off the radio and the car, then re-start the car an power on radio to get it to reload/work… I also found out my car never had a cabin filter and that my deRship is aware that all dodge vehicles are a hit or miss with the manufactre installi g them durring build =O so 2yrs later an i wonder what issues that will/has caused!! I will be calling Chrysler Monday to speak about my tire warranty, electrical issue, cabin filter an getting my $200 (at least $100) back for the break job at 18k miles! Please does anyone else have an idea about the key fob or touch screen issue? this whole electrical car turning off is extremely scary! I have a child as I’m sure many of u have!! This can’t be ok??

It has 46,000 miles on it as I commute to work about 90-100 miles per day round trip. About three weeks ago I brought the car into the shop because it was “idleing rough” and the check engine light came on. They told me my “right head” needed to be replaced and they would have to order the parts and it would cost me $1900.00 to repair. I argued with Chrysler because I have a lifetime powertrain warranty on my car and after argument, they agreed this was covered. It took three weeks for the parts to come in and after an original promise of 1 to 1.5 days in the shop I was able to pick it up 4 days later. I drove off the lot (5:30 pm, closing time) and went 10 miles and I noticed the car “ideling rough” again. Today, Sunday, two days after the repair” my check engine light is flashing on and off and the whole car starts shaking and then the light goes off again and the car keeps going. I am planning to bring this in first thing in the morning. I have also had to have the brakes replaced once, at around 20,000 miles, and have asked them to check them three times since as I know they need to be changed again, but they keep “forgetting” to check them. I have also had the radio replaced and have continuing problems with the alarm going off for no reason, but I have to bring it in when it is doing it, which doesn’t work, because it goes off when you start the car.
My question is, since my car has a lifetime powertrain warranty, am I still eligible for the lemon law since it is over one year that I have had the car? That is, if I continue to have the same engine problem with the car “ideling rough” causing the check engine light to come on?

I have had the vehicle just over a year. When does the lemon law apply. I am sure they will have to be done again in another few thousand miles because Chrysler is not fixing the problem, they just replace the brakes. Of course, I am still responsible for the deductible, which makes no sense since it is their problem. What are the options? This is so frustrating.

I’ve had to replace the rotors and brakes on both front & rear. Pretty early on. At first I thought it was new brake wear and tear (breaking in the brakes) but then it got worse so I had to replace them. The rotors have unusual wear and tear… So much that I had to replace them, not just grind them down. Then the brakes were just shot. Like I said it happened pretty early on and now I have to replace them again, although I needed to do it sooner. What is the status update on the dodge/Chrysler situation? Are they owning up to it, or do I just have to keep forking out $$$? Mileage just turned 70k.

After replacing the brakes I continue to have issues with the brakes, shaking and vibrating. I then had to replace the tires which cost over $800. to only wear them out less than a year. I took it in to the Dodge dealership in Houston and was told that the other issue of cuting off while driving was another issue and it could only be fix if the vehicle completely stopped. At the time of puchase the car was still under factory warranty and i was never told of these issues with the breaks before purchasing the car. I now have 45K miles on the car and have had the front roaters shaved once already at 30k miles due to mild vibration. At that time the tech told me the break pads where still 50% there. The car now has a noticible vibration when breaking. Is this normal wear and tear on breaks or should i be worried this car is having the same issues as everyone else? Am i going to have to mark this purchase up to a bad mistake since my car has so many miles on it or is there anyway i can still get assistance for break issues i am having? I am worried i am on a slippery path to a money pit of a car!!!!

This car makes noise on the outside of the car when I turn the steering wheel. I explained the service delearship about this noise, after many times in December 2011 they found that noise is normal, How is possible? The noise sometimes is very strong. They show me a report, that the noise will dissapear after the car is warmed . The noise still it is in the car. I called Crysler said, nothing to do becouse the car is operable. This car has 21600 miles, I live in NJ, please let me know if I apply for Lemon Law. I believe this problem is a defect from the manufacturer but the do not want to accept it!!!

I have replaced pads and rotors. This time it is also rear breaks. I was informed when I went in that my warranty ended yesterday for the 3 years, 36k mile warranty for the breaks. They were charging $70 for a courtesy break inspection. I pulled my car from Dodge service and am taking it into Midas after reading these complaints. My 3 year anniversary is TODAY and I am at 35K miles.

I have also filed for Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act but at this point the problems just keep coming. I had the new rotors replace last back in Noverber 2011 and went on a long trip and before i got back the car started to shake. When i originally 2 years ago i had many problems with the car not starting and a popping in the front axle. One dealership finally fixed it after having two dealerships throwing parts at it for months and now the popping has been back for 6 months and the car still will not start some times. Is there anything i can do to stop my pain with this car? Please email for some help.

I have had my brakes replaced 5 times, rotors twice and about to do it again! I have taken to replacing them myself as the dealership always charges me too much. I travel a great deal, around 89,000 miles on my Dodge now. In the beginning the windshield wipers would work when they wanted to, have to turn off the car and back on to get the electrical system to work. Had the door wiring harness recall fixed now it loses power when driving, wipers only work on high, engine light comes on and goes off at will. Dealership told me to replace the ERG Sensor would be $350…I’m at my wits end with this vehicle. I will NEVER own another Dodge product again

Right now with the economy and gas prices we can’t afford the 100 deductable they want. My cat has also gone in for transmission bearings and now it is whining again. I keep bringing it back telling the dealer that it keeps whining and that the trans keeps going into neutral on its own. They just tell me now that they can’t duplicate the problem. I have also had the radio replaced because the right side would just shut off. It is still doing it as of today and it is being looked at right now again along with the transmission. This is getting really frustrating with this car and have never had as many issues with a car before. This cat has been in now for 30 complaints and it seems that they don’t want to fix it.

We had the front brakes replaced at 2,500 miles, a recall fixed and yesterday my wife said she applied the brakes and it shook like a leaf in a windstorm, then the pedal went to the floor, then it was fine except the shaking. I’m only writing this because we received a letter in the mail (Yesterday) where Olympia Dodge wants to buy the Journey back and pay $1,000 more than the Kelly Blue Book value. I love Dodge, own a 1500 Ram, HEMI and have zero problems, I want to get rid of the journey, too dangerous for a family with 3 children who don’t deserve to be at risk. Thanks

We have taken the car back to them twice for recalls but they would never tell us what the recall was about just that the problem was fixed. The sunvisors were falling off after just a few months, I found out that that had been an issue from looking on the internet. However, when we took it in to have them replace, we were told that the parts were on order and they would call us when they came in, they did say that they had fixed yet another recall problem, without stating what that was. After calling several times about the sun visors and getting the same response we are now past our 36,000 mile warranty. We have had the front brakes and rotors replaced at a cost of 500.00. and now we are having to get the rear brakes replaced. I drove my toyota for years with out a brake problem. I am so frustrated with these people. We purchase the extended warranty but they wont tell us it is covered under that.

The factory Power train and Basic Limited Warranties were still intact, as well as a Certified extended Basic Limited Warranty of 3 months or 3,000 miles. Just about a month ago, literally overnight, the wheel started shaking when applying the brakes. This occurred at about 16,000 miles. Now the car is in the shop and we are told the rotors are warped and need turned. The Basic Warranty clearly doesn’t cover us (12 months, 12,000 miles for brakes) and we are just outside of our 3,000 mile extension, so we are going to be out $130. Browsing online I see a ton of info on 2009-2010 models and the extension on the coverage for brakes, but I can’t seem to find much regarding the 2011’s (there are a few out there). This seems to be the exact same problem…brake rotors should not warp at 16,000 miles (we don’t drive like maniacs). I’m going to call Dodge directly very shortly, but was hoping to get some info here regarding if there has been an extension for 2011’s and it just isn’t out there to the public yet. Any advice or references to websites or documents helping support our cause to be covered by the manufacturer would be much appreciated.

Like everyone else, it is in the shop (again) right now for brake issues. The service writer just told me he thinks the brakes are fine this time, but we feel a vibration (which he feels too) and we heard the metal on metal grind (which he says he does not hear).

Since the very first oil change we ever got on the car in 2009 I have been making them check the front suspension because I hear what sounds like a bad strut, or ball joint “rattle” when backing out of my driveway and inconsistently in other places. The service writer keeps telling me he sees/hears nothing wrong, and hasn’t seen any bulletins on it. I could care less about a bulletin, I know what I hear. He has even said there may be a stone loose in my driveway, which is not the case. I also have a 1980 Toyota truck, it doesn’t make any noise backing out of said driveway.

I have also had the alarm issue, it turned out to be a door wiring harness oddly enough, and is no longer an issue.

Recently (roughly 40k miles now)it intermediately does not go into overdrive when at interstate speeds. We were going 70mph and it didn’t go into o/d for a few miles, a few different times. It hasn’t done it since, but I know there has to be an issue there.

They have also inspected this noise and said they didn’t see a problem.

My wife and I just purchased a 2012 Journey R/T and between 22 and 30 mph the car does the same thing. It doesn’t shake the wheel, but there is a vibration, and what feels like grinding. I was told the trans. issues, and the brake/rotor issues have been fixed. I don’t understand how hard it is to put beefier rotors, and pads on a vehicle. The other odd thing, is the car doesn’t seem to coast down in speed. Right around that same mph it feels like a downshift, or a break has been applied. Who in their right mind wants that feeling. I want my car to coast as long a possible for better gas mileage. Disapointed if I have to take this car back with in the 30 day window, and look at other options.

Brake failures and pad replacements are very common here too on this model going by forums.

As my 2011 Journey at now 9,000 miles has warped front rotors , What is up with this..I also owned a chrysler pacifica and had same repeated problem, screw the dealer parts it the same faulty crap put on at assembly. While I would have preferred the full $130, I have to say it was better than nothing (which was what they had the right to do by the warranty). The process was simple: call the Dodge 800# (1-800-423-6343) and ask them to file a claim for service coverage (reimbursement if you already paid); they will contact you usually within 2 business days via email and phone; submit the necessary paperwork; reimbursement approved and mailed in 3-5 days; done. Not a guarantee to be approved, but they were the nicest people and never faulted me one time or doubted the concerns I had. Good luck.

I got of the highway and brakes started to feel funny. Then, I was putting the brake on and it was going all the way to the ground hardly stopping. I drive really stop and it keep doing the same thing. Talk about scary, I stopped pumping the brakes and it go a little better and then, I pushed the brake hard and now it stopping more normal. Dodge has a answer to the issue which is to just trade up. Well the car is almost paid off and I DO NOT want another car payment so that is not an option. We just had it repaired again today and since the recall only pertained to 36,000 miles and I had 36,200 they had me pay $100. Car purchased in Illinois.

Have had my 2010 Journey since December of 2011, bought it used from a dealer here in Tampa, FL. Several times now the panic alarm just starts going off. Honking and lights flashing. The buttons on the key fob will do nothing to stop it. I have to remove the actual key from the fob unlock the door and start the car with the fob for it to stop. Also a few weeks ago my air conditioner would blow hot air never cold. Took it to get looked at and the mechanic said it was something (can’t remember the same but it is not the cabin filter) that is going to cost at least $1500.00 to fix. I did replace the cabin filter but it still doesn’t really blow all that cold. I had the shaking in the steering wheel too and the dealer fix it and said I needed to get it aligned. I did that AND bought new tires and 4 months later the shaking is back. Not really happy with this purchase.

Afraid it didn’t work out. I don’t drive the car now because is not dependable,I can’t take a chance and be stranded in an unreliable vehicle.

This car alarm has also went off about 4different times since I had it and have to use key and start to get it to quit ,thought maybe that was radio or DVD player won’t work sometimes have to stop and shut off few a minute and turn back on so grandson can watch movie.I hate driving this car worried what might go wrong next.

I bought is 8/16/2011- after about 1 week I noticed the a/c button on the center console was not working, I also had an issue with the IPOD system not working. I went into dealership and they told me they could not duplicate problems, I called the technician out to my vehicle and showed him the problem. He did say he can order new part for a/c controller but was unsure of what to do with the IPOD system, before leaving dealership I noticed a few scratches on the vehicle and spoke to the manager to fix, and he did. I returned in when part arrived to have replaced and again had them look atthe IPOD system and they were unable to fix. A few months pass and I called in with problem- I was unable to start my vehicle due to brake pedals locking up. I went in for service and they said they updated a program in the computer. A few days later it happened again! In July 2011 I called in complaining of gear shifter sticking and vehicle jerking into gear, also the shiftmatic was not working. Went into service on 7/9 and the transmission technicians were not available, shop foreman went on road test with me and said he would definitely need a trans tech to look at it. 7/30/12 I arrive for gear shifter problem and state inspection. They said the needed to order shifter bezel but my vehicle doesn’t pass inspection due to warped rotors, brakes are fine but rotors have to be resurfaced. I have not even owned the vehicle for a year yet!! And to top it all off every time I’ve been at the dealer it’s been a 3 hour wait and was denied a rental because I did not buy an extended warrenty. I thought buying a brand new vehicle I wouldn’t need to worry about this! Please help me.

I took it back to dealer they said while driving they didn’t notice it. Problem continue to get worse. One year and 17000 miles later as of this month, my car is in the dealership as i type. I was told breaks and rotors will cost me $598.00. At this rate I will be paying $598.00 each year. My question: since the problem started before the 12000 miles mark and never was addressed am i liable for the repairs.

At 11,500 miles my steering wheel started shaking when braking. We just got it back from the shop yesterday (12,000miles) and paid for complete new rotors and brakes – $300. Upon driving it away, my steering wheel shake is worse now than it was before. We took it right back, they’ve looked at it several times, drove it several times, and said they cannot find anything wrong with it to make the steering wheel shake like it does. Now my husband is taking it to the German Dodge dealer to see if there’s something else they can do. We are trying to sell this car, but no one wants to buy it! Since we’re overseas…I’m not sure what else we can do..?

I finally went and got all new slotted rotors and semi metallic pads and have had them on for over 5k miles now and no issues at all. The stock pads when I took them off just fell apart and the rotors were thinner then the new ones. I suggest to everyone to go out and put on aftermarket rotors and pads because the stock stuff is garbage.

I have had 5 SETS of brakes on this vehicle. First set (front & back) replaced at 15k miles, and it seems like every 15k miles they have to be replaced again. We are WAY past the 36k mile recall for the brakes, and dodge is WELL aware of this problem. Funny– when my sister bought her 2011 Journey, she asked about the brakes and mentioned the problems with mine, and the sales person said “no, they fixed that”…but with Dodge, it’s not a problem?? I just had my entire steering box, piston arms, bushings, tie-rods?, 4 wheel re-alignment, 4 new tires put on, and when I got my car back, the entire thing shook when I put on the brakes. It’s sitting in the shop now, they say it’s a bad tire on the front, and said one of my back calipers is smoking! They said I need all rotors & calipers replaced…I have refused to pay out of pocket for anything else with these stupid brakes! I’m waiting/hoping that chrysler will do the right thing before someone gets killed with their defects!

It had 20,000 miles on it. In the past year I put an additional 20,000 miles on it and have replaced my front brakes and roters 4 times. The problem is actually the calibers. They are defective. They lock up on you and burn the brakes and roters. Both of my front wheels have actually caught fire because of it. Once going 75 miles an hour on a highway. I had to use a fire extinquisher to put it out. Melted my brakes and roters and brake hose. It got so hot the brake hose melted causing a fire due to the brake fluid. My chrome coated wheels are both melted. Chrysler/Dodge refused to pay for it or do anything about it. I plan on suing. I guess it takes someone getting killed for anything to happen. Purchased new – we have replaced the brakes 4 times. I am a suburban stay at home mom. Yes, this vehicle is our primary family car but it is not driven hard by any means. I take it in for all regular scheduled service on time. In addition the brakes; we have had numerous issues – 1st: you have to purchase tires from the dealership only as the size that the Journey requires are not carried by tire stores. Normally, tires are what $100 a piece well not for the journey – you are looking at $250 each! That was news! 2nd: The electrical i.e. the a/c, radio, outlets will all just die while driving. We were told that this had to do with some part that was $350 which .. we have replaced already once. 3rd: At least once or twice a week the truck has trouble starting. Put the key fob in and nothing. Apparently, this also has to do with the electrical problem. 4th: While in cruise control if going down hill or up hill it has issues leveling itself out and revs up the engine.

Had an oil change done after I first purchased the car & they informed me I needed brakes (approx 12k miles) and said brakes are not under any warranty. Husband replaced them himself and then a few thousand miles later were bad again! We then received a notice in the mail from Dodge about brakes and they replaced them (after a fight) for free since original brakes were needed before 20k miles. I no have 37k miles and need brakes AGAIN!! My old car I had before this went 36k miles before needing it’s first change of brakes, now I’m at 3?!?!?!

I purchased it in August of 2011 and noticed within a few months it would shake violently when getting off the highway. At first I thought maybe I just didn’t know how SUV’s drove because this was my first. Took it into the shop and they told me my rotors were warped and said most likely a persons driving habits would cause this. I advised them I am not a heavy braker and I drive mostly highway miles add to that my brakes were just fine. Also I purchased the extended warranty but to my surprise they advised the rotors weren’t covered GO FIGURE! I had just over 14k on the vehicle and they charged me $165 to have my rotors resurfaced, that was in March 2012 and the service rep said this shouldn’t happen again as long as I brake carefully, so here I am almost terrified to brake yet along came September and back came the shaking. I’ve never been more afraid of trying to stop a vehicle in my whole life. I’ll be going back in but I already know that this will be pretty costly. I don’t understand how a brand new vehicle could have so many problems and the manufacturer skirt around the issues

I have less than 60K miles on the car, have had to replace the brakes twice, the rear rotors once and even the tires at like 20K miles. There are a number of things that rattle. I have put over $1,500 in this in just brakes and don’t want to do it again.

At first it was my driving according to them. Until they realized we were informed. Then all the sudden things were handled. This time we went in. I got a phone call it is going to be $700. I told they were crazy, they needed to look at the previous issues with the brakes, that it was the same issues. Then my husband had to research the warranty direction. And tell them we were still covered. At this point the manager was called, and he stated ” We will replace the front brakes” under the warranty directive. “I am not sure that the rear brakes are warped” this is being said with out him looking at them. There technician stated front and rear were warped. I do not feel comfortable with the dealership. I would like to get someone to look at the vehicle. Also, I am very concerned we are not correcting the root cause. How can we get them to correct the issue not just put a band aid on the situation.

I bought my car on 9/4/2010 and have, as of yesterday, had the front pads and rotors replaced TWICE (once on 11/3/2011 and again on 11/28/2012). I have had the service performed at a certified Dodge dealership and each time I have had to pay the $100 deductible! Upon speaking with a service representative regarding the repairs yesterday, I demanded to know that there was going to be DIFFERENT pads/rotors put on this time. My “extended warranty” from Dodge expires in 10 months and I do NOT want to have to go back a THIRD time a year from now (with no warranty protection from Dodge) to have to replace the brakes again. She informed me that she was certain that different brakes were being put on this time, but last time, the same type of pads/rotors that were having the problem were put on (WHY would they have used the same pads/rotors that were known to be having a problem in the first place?!). I’m extremely frustrated with this situation. I have NEVER had to have my brakes replaced at less than 3-4 years of wear & tear. This is ridiculous and Dodge needs to correct this problem and make it right! We should NOT have to pay $100 deductible, there should be a proper recall!

We bought new in July 2011. It now sits at the dealership for the past 4 weeks. I’ve had it in the shop several times since this past July. We have had electrical issues with the engine shutting down while driving down the road. The car shaking violently and then dying in the road and having it towed only to have them say there’s nothing wrong. They can’t find anything and it sat in the shop for a week until they said to come get it. This past time we got a video of what it did the lights came on the dash, the gas pedal stopped working while we were driving down the road and it started jerking with every shift of the gears. We were told they finally found a wire not connected under the drivers side. We are currently sitting without a rental and waiting on dodge to return our calls for this lemon. It’s now at the area manager. This car is not safe. I was told every time leaving the shop, it was good to go, only to leave me sitting with my children along the road and almost unable to stop.

And the front rotors! Carmax says they don’t cover anything and that its “normal wear n tear” which Is total bs being that there’s thousands of people with th same issue! So I called the local dodge dealer to see if it was still under warranty to find out I’m still under the mileage cap but over the three year limit! I’m fustrated and really feel I’m getting raped! Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?

Driver side window will not roll down, have had brakes replaced 3 times, rotors turned 6 or 7 times, and brake pads replaced 6 or 7 times. Car will not shift into gear to give it more rpms or power. It is dangerous. Car has also stalled in traffic a couple of times. Have had it in shop several times for repairs. The first week I had the car, two of the tire stems blew completely out and tires went flat. Ended up having to get all four stems replaced. Owe more on the car than the dealer will give me. Terrible car and situation.

They did do the break pads free, but said I HAD TO pay for the rotors. Another dealer (Dodge) said I shouldn’t have paid because my rotor issue was due to the pads and the way they were wearing. I should also add I took my car in about 4 months before they replaced the pads and they all but said it was all in my head, then I came across the recall by chance and took it back thats when they fixed it. Can I do anything about it now? I feel so used, and right now I’m looking at buying a RAM 1500 but with the way they cheated me already I am holding back on the truck.

I bought used with the extended war. the last time it was in they told me my front rotors were warped and they shaved them down, and replaced the rear caliper and brake line & pads front and back. When the service writer called me back to tell me the issues, pump unit for master cylinder, thermostat which the journey has 2 was leaking and they recommended replacing both but my war would only cover 1. My wife is disabled and i do not want to hear that these faulty brakes caused a serious accident some day. I to would like to join this suit, journey bought in Virginia

I still think that I need to pursue this issue I have already filed a case with Dodge again and am waiting to here from case worker. If you have any advice for me concerning my conversation with this case worker I would appreciate it. I owe more than the darn thing is worth, I am afraid to let my wife drive this thing, very concerned for her life and others if these brakes fail again !

We had no issues until about 28,000 miles when my wife complained about a wobble when she applied the brake. I replaced rotors with some new ones off of rock auto (never had much luck with rotors that were turned). I also installed new brake pads while I was in there. We have not had an issue since. I just thought we were unlucky or she got them hot and ran the rotors through water. I replaced the calipers with a higher grade cross drilled (performance rotors) for about 70 dollars a piece. Brake pads were the cheap ones at 25 per side. We now have 55,000 miles and have not had an issue.

Well we are 2 hard working military people and we are not made of money but I have 2 very tall and still growing boys so we needed the extra room. I bought my Dodge in Oct of 2011. From the very start the car started falling apart and pieces were breaking off. I took it back to the dealership within 30 days to have a part fixed for which they never did, I should have just returned the car then but my family loved it and we needed the extra room. Well a little over a year later and a rod broke in my engine, no sweat right because DODGE has that great 5 year or 100,000 mile warranty that covers things like this right……YEAH RIGHT!!! I was told that I now have to go find all my receipts for my oil changes in order for them to honor my warranty and if I don’t then it will cost me $8000 to get my engine fixed!!!I almost cried, where in the world am I going to get $8000 to fix an engine!!! So I found all the receipts I could fine which totaled 5 in 13 months which I think is pretty good right, but oh no since I seem to be missing one I may have to end up paying for this car or losing money to buy my family a new car and still paying for this loan so it doesn’t effect my credit. I was advised today that with my documentation they see I was trying to make routine oil changes and that they would be willing to pay 50% of the costs. We are a military family where do they think I just have $2500 just laying around. I offered to bring in documentation from my husband, my friend and his dad showing that they performed some of my oil changes because they did and I was told that would be heresay and if I don’t accept this offer then will withdraw the offer and I would have to pay the full $5000 to get my engine fixed. I am floored, why isn’t this dealership honoring the 100000 for supposed to be covered repair engine parts???

They said that these were a new style of breaks because they were having problems with the old ones and the grinding noise was just something I would have to get used too.

Were the break problems in the 2012 fixed? If so why would the breaks in a new vehicle be grinding?

I spent 500+ on new rotors (aftermarket) and high per pads.. its been over a year now no repeate problems(brake realted). However now we are having problems with the Rocker Arms lol Getting two replaced as I am typing this.

So does that mean that if there is a part that needs replacing and is under warrantee as long as they replace it with a party that is just as defective (if not worse) they never have to deal with it again???…

I told him its because I dont want to wait all day just for an oil change, nor do I want to have to make an appointment. I think he’s trying to void any other warranty issues I may have based on this.

This has finally solved the issues with the car randomly dying on me multiple times, including in heavy rush hour traffic. My life was seriously endangered by this car. But the dealer solved that mystery. Now I am still suffering with failing brakes that squeal and smoke. The car squeals as I just drive down the road. Good luck to all of you. Sure wish my credit was better so that I could get out of this nightmare!! My 5th Dodge, and probably my last. 🙁

I was not told of all the problems they were having with this model. I have been having to take my car to the shop every other week because of problems. They’ve put in the diagnostic machine several time but can’t find the problem and they even went so far as to tell me the car needs to break down before they can find the problem. My car looses power when you hit the gas, jerks and take off when you hit the brakes. Changes to manual on its own while driving down the road. It also smokes from under the hood some times. You can smell something burning, and it also makes a loud noise that sound like a jack hammer when you turn it off. All they keep telling me is until it does it with them there’s nothing they can do. Oh there is others that have witnessed these problems. Can any one please tell me what to do next I at my wits end with this car. Don’t get me wrong love the car but tired of the problems.

Don’t have anyone do anything to the car who is not a licensed mechanic. My husband changed oil and did brakes so our warranty is somewhat compromised and now the Lemon Law attorneys don’t want anything to do with our case. Keep good records of all problems on a calendar book in your car and join the lawsuit if you can. I wonder if cam phasers are an issue on the 2010 too? I have had three issues with major corrosion. My valve stem on the tire just went out from corrosion. Sudden flat tire and the sensor was $60 to be replaced. What a hassle. The other three are likely to go out soon too. Corrosion also affected the starter and the cam phasers. They told me the same thing — wait until it breaks down. Sign up for towing and roadside assistance on your auto insurance immediately if you don’t have it already as you will definitely need it with this car. Best of luck. My piece of crap is still squealing down the road everyday.

My brakes have always squeaked and you could hear me a mile away when stopping. I took the car in ane they told me they were just “dirty”. I got home and they were still squeaking. I went back a week or so later and then I needed front brakes BUT warranty was up so paid a $100 ded. My back breaks are now the problem and so I paid a little over $300 but now they are telling me that something needs to be done with the master cylinder. Between $300-$500 because there is swoosh that you hear when you pump the brakes ….. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANOTHER DODGE or another car from the dealership that I bought this from!!!!! Oh and I barely have 26,000 miles on the car.

The clacking, clicking/knocking sound was SOOOO loud cold or hot .. it sounded like the engine was gonna blow up.

Also changing the fricken tires after 32K miles.. (seriously?)

Firsrt time by the dealer wtih OEM parts and had the exact same problem. The 2nd time I replaced them myself with aftermarke rotors and EBC pads (Green Stuff). No more problems with the brakes or sounds frrom them.

Once again after 17,000 klm i had the same problem. Chrysler co. is agree to pay for pieces but not for the work. I’m concerned about reliability of the breake because the problem is not fixed yet .It’s seens to be a design problem so i will have to pay $700 a year just to change my breake. Do you have any others solutions. Thank You

The second time the rotors warped they found the calipers were seized. I had them put on an aftermarket set of rotors calipers and brakes w lifetime warr.

Had rotors replaced today under warr after about a year. The mechanic told me there is an informal survey on right now of bearings due to possible wear and play in them. He suspects mine have worn a bit causing a hot spot on the rotors and warping them.

So Chrysler is aware of these issues and it is probably right from the start when we have all had brake issues and vibrations up the steering column they say are normal. So have your mechanics check the bearings for any wear if in for any brake issues.

In early may 2009 I brought my journey in with 6400 miles on it because my brakes were grinding so loud that a few of my friends were laughing at me! Barbara inspected my car and said the percentage on my brakes were still ok. I went back in early July cause my brakes noise was embarrassing and I needed something done. Barbara mechanics inspected it and said I need new brake pads and two rotars. They told me I’m past my 1 year warranty by 2 weeks and that it would cost me 442 dollars. I took it to another mechanic and he told me to ask what the brake percentage was in may when they looked at it. The employee Hector told me he’d call me back then avoided my phone calls afterward.I’ve complained numerous times to Chrysler including two days before my brakes failed and I crashed into a chain going from pole to pole in a parking lot cause significant damage. Chrysler sent a independent contractor out to inspect my car and his determination was that it was normal wear and tare from the driver. Fast forward a year and half later with two weeks left on my 3 year or 36000 mile warranty I get a letter in mail saying Chrysler realizes their brakes are bad and are willing to replace them with deductible. That was at 17300 miles. Two years later and 13000 miles later my mechanics says I need new brakes and rotars plus my check engine light will not go off cause my computer system is bad. I paid my car off 2 weeks ago and now I’m looking at 550 already out of pocket and still looking at another 500 to fix my brakes and rotars. This car has been trouble since day 1, this is not what I was looking forward too after 5 years of struggling to pay my payments due to our bad economy and being laid off. PLEASE HELP ME!!

I drove it about a week and the steering wheel started shaking. I informed the dealership, Dick Brooks in Greer SC, and they had me to bring the car back in. Changed all the brakes and rotors. Vehicle drove fine for about another 3 weeks. On my way home from work one day I had a hard brake when a car stopped in front of me, it sounded like the brakes were scrubbing the rotors. I went straight back to the dealership. The service manager drove the vehicle and of course “no noise”. He said to monitor it. Over the course of about 3-4 weeks the horrid sound was there every time the brakes were applied with a slight shake to the steering wheel. I took the Journey back to the dealership yesterday, 9-20-13, they said before that they had replaced the brakes with “aftermarket’ parts and that was the problem, this time they used genuine MOPAR parts. Not sure what difference that will make but I will let you know in a couple of weeks. Seems by reading above I may need to get a second job in order to make car payments and be able to afford the brakes. (so far the dealership has covered them at 100%, but that won’t last long)

It has been in the shop 4 times in one month for no start, no unlock, and panic alarm issues. Each time I take it in via tow truck they are unable to duplicate because after about 4 hours it starts working again and there are never any codes in the system when they plug it in. Each time it happens it’s in a parking garage and my work security informs me that the panic alarm goes off all day, when I get to my car I cannot unlock it with the key fob, so I use my manual and it doesn’t start. I have worked with Dodge corporate and at the care team analysis level-they state since they cannot duplicate and cannot repair they cannot call it a lemon. I cannot drive this car.

Shake rattle & roll in the front end began in spring of 2012 (roughly 45,000 km) took it in to dealer and got told that the brake job would cost me roughly $ 1000.00, no mention of warranty covering it. Took it to my regular mechanic, who did the job for a little under $ 600.00 replacing the Chrysler parts with quality ones (no further issues).

The one my corporate mechanic put on have a lifetime warranty on all components. he calls them “Ultra Premium” and I am not sure if that is a brand name or a quality level. I think they come out of California. They are expensive to put on but I replaced everything in the front.. brakes, rotors and calipers and all but calipers in the back. Much better performance and except for the warranty covered rotor issue they have been wonderful.

I only had 127k on the car before two codes came up with a potential of 2k repairs out of warranty.

They replaced two arm intakes, two shaft rocker arms, support rocker arm shaft, arm exhaust, gasket cylinder head cover, gasket intake plenum, spark plug and filter. Or at least that is what is on invoice. The Journey still makes the noise. I am going back to the dealership but wanted to ask if they are fixing the correct problem. Thanks.

Within the last year I replaced my brakes at least 6 times. Well a couple weeks ago may be 3 my brakes went completely out. I got into a car accident and ny car was totalled. So please be careful. After contacting dodge I was advised that I should have taken it back to the dealership who stated brakes weren’t covered under my warranty. I contacted dodge again and received no help. Since Geico quickly settled my claim and refused to investigate why my brakes failed I can’t say exactly what cause the problem. At the time they needed to be replaced I just hadn’t had the time to go to the automotive shop. Thankfully I’m ok. Still in a lot of pain though. So please be careful

Now my check engine light came on as well as the traction control that comes on and goes off randomly even when in park. when driving on dry ground and it comes on the car feels like it is dragging. The car dealership will not take care of it saying it is my problem since it is not related to the tire sensor they replaced. Can I do anything? I have not even paid my first car payment yet?

I have a 2009 RT non all wheel drive and suggest the three following things to do to help make things better. Replace the whole braking system with premium brakes pads and rotors from a non chrysler manufacturer if you have to pay for repairs, I use the Ultra premium system and have changed a rotor but they last much much longer. Second have the wheel bearings checked due to a possible premature failure in the bearings causing hot spots on the rotors and overall failures(this came from my mechanic) and three if you have never had the calipers changed and they are still under warranty while having brake issues have them changed. they stick all the time and cause brake and rotor issues. In Canada unless recently changed they have a 60k warranty and our dealer did everything not to change them under warranty. The warranty appears less up here than in the states. Again if your brake system is out of warranty then go to a premium after market and forget the chrysler crap. Also as an aside at 140k I had to change all the platinum plugs and 3 spark packs( more for accessibility and money saving in the future) due to a sudden loss of power on the highway and extreme shaking of the car. Time to upgrade to 2013 journey brakes… Ive done a lot of research and this is very possible…. It should solve the break issue completley but until i do it i can’t say… I came accross this thread check it out. email me with any questions

It only took me five years to figure it out, but at 74k miles and going on the 7th, yes, SEVENTH brake job, I finally found a way to fix it. TRADE THE JOURNEY OFF! I almost walked away from my lifelong faithfulness to Dodge, but decided to give them one more chance. We will see how it goes with the Dart GT (no more strollers and diaper bags to require a larger car). Good luck to all of you 09-mid12 Journey owners. Oh, and Brandon is correct by the way… 13 Journey brakes solve the issue.

I have heard they are larger breaks so you can’t in some cases use smaller rims and tires for the winter on them. Just read the note about CANVAP. I wish I had known about it two years ago it may have come in handy.

They never resolved the issue nor acknowledged it was a real problem. Finally 5 years later it is fixed. I had to replace the bearing located under the passenger side at front that comes as a total part including shaft and also a rear wheel bearing was seizing up. One or both of those repairs that were done at the same time eliminated the steering wheel completely. I suspect it was the bearing under the passenger as my wife kept complaining about feeling a vibration. So if any of you have that issue have it checked. We finally found out it was bad when it got loud and sounded like an exhaust leak.

I bought this 2009 Dodge Journey in Oct 2012 and in Nov 2012 (done on Thanksgiving day)I had to get routers and brakes on front and back. Then every 7 – 9 months I’ve had to replace brakes and routers, especially in the front. I am having same issues that many of you are having. I too still owe too much on this vehicle to replace it. There should have been a recall on this issue way before now!

Also while driving at high speed my steering wheel shook when I braked. I’m concerned and read comments not only here but another Web site of Chrysler telling their customers this is normal. Well I brought my vehicle to Chrysler and sitting here now waiting for them to look at it, and low and behold the employee told me it’s normal. I told him about what I have researched and said others say it’s not normal. So waiting for the verdict after the service men look at my vehicle. Are you in Canada?

First month my wife had the brakes and rotors replaced. Within less than a month after a quick stop, front end shakes anytime the brakes were applied. Fortunately the shop replaced the brakes. I started driving the Journey which is mostly freeway miles. Within a short time, it needed the brakes and rotors replaced again. I researched recalls and contacted Chrysler. I was sent a one time small check for a safety recall on the brakes. They never would admit there was a problem. I tried the more expensive brakes and rotors which helped but still the front end shaking after limited miles. What a piece of junk! I think I was up to 8 sets of brakes and rotors by the time I sold it. Current owner has replaced 3 more times in a year and a half. I have put a 100,000 miles on set of brakes with Toyota and Ford. Never will own another Dodge / Chrysler after this experience.

I do very light driving as I live on an island (Hawaii). At 8000 miles I needed new brakes and new tires. At 11,000 miles front shaking began and I was informed by the dealership I needed new brakes and rotors. They then Informed me that I was putting undo stress on the brakes because I had 4 kids and that’s why I was having issues. They were all 8 years and under at the time. There was no mention of an extended warranty. They wanted $1800 for the brake job. Around this time I started experiencing electrical, problems. Windows going up and down on their own. The VES just quit working all together. Lights on the dash blinking on and off. I replaced my rear left blinker bulb at least a dozen times. The problems continued after that and it became an expensive pattern of brakes, rotors and tires. My last brake job was at 36,000 one year ago in March of 2015. One month ago my entire instrument cluster just quit working…no speedometer, no odometer, no gas gauge, no thermostat, and all dash lights stuck on. Got a diagnostic…no problems could be detected. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. I drive 2 miles to the store and on the way home my power steering pump went out, my fan quit working, the car overheated and dumped all of my engine coolant on the road in less than 5 minutes. I get my mechanic out to bring this POS back to my house and he looks under the car and while he’s there says, oh, btw, you need new brakes and your rotors look warped. I think there was possibly steam coming out of my ears. We are not a wealthy family. My husband is a soldier and currently deployed. And I can’t deal with this vehicle one more second. This car has 39,997 miles on it as of today. And it’s the biggest lemon I’ve ever seen. I need help.

Since then I have done my brakes every year. since then I’ve still have the grinding and the vibration. This year I spent over $600 on breaks and new rotors and again still the same problem went back to my mechanic and explained the grinding and the squeaking. He replaced the back brakes. Still the same problem. Going back to him to see what I can do…. Please there has to be something that Dodge has to do. Can take this with these brake issue. And also the transmission issue. When putting it on gear or when coming to a stop. When you start driving you get a hard shift to the gear. My journey has about 66,000 miles and bought it with 33,000 miles. I do all my oil services with Dodge.

Getting brakes done again today.. 10% left on front the rotors can not be tuned and they were bought new… and the rear has 60% left.

I currently have a journey sitting in one of my maintenance bays about to receive the brake service all of you are complaining of. After investigating the issue the customer complained of. I diagnosed restriction from in the brake lines causing the driver to have the ability to apply brakes but when the pedal is released the caliper is still restricted. On this specific journey a thermal image showed me the caliper was scorching hot after five minutes of driving and the wobbling of the steering wheel due to the rapid expansion. So i decided to disassemble to brakes and found what i already knew. The pads median had melted due to the heat and cheap materials clogging the caliper slides. Not only that the moisture level in the brake fluid was well above the 1% tolerances. Causing the it to expand when the fluid became hot inside the caliper. Hint this is part of the restriction of return on the caliber piston. Tomorrow i will be installing new pads, rotors, rubber brake lines, I already disassembled the calibers, arms and guides. Once the unit is completely reassembled the entire system will be flushed and rear brakes broken down and greased. I will have to actuate the ABS module to ensure all fluid is flushed from the module *this is extremely important you can not rely on gravity feed. Once this is done i will test drive it and take another set of thermal images to see how it is doing. Im 100% sure that this will alleviate this problem. Since i have seen this before. Due to new clients improperly maintaining there brake system. This is due to lack of knowledge. It should take at least three hours to properly remove all the components install the new and bleed the system. At the end test drive/ break in. Test the moisture in the fluid and explain to your customer what is going on and what to look for. I make sure to schedule follow ups on these specific vehicles to ensure my clients are taken care of. I do not have any brake returns. Make sure you get fresh rubber full flush (including abs module). Look at you fluid before and after. Mark the cap with white out this will ensure they open it. Dealership employ human beings that are scrutinized for getting work done. Only time there is a problem is when a customer returns. Hope this helps all. i will be mentoring this so if you are in need of any guidance feel free to contact me.

Had it towed 2 because it wouldn’t start. Mechanic went out to check it and it fired right up. As a matter of fact I took it into the dodge dealership yesterday and it started having a problem not accelerating on take off and jumping after acceleration. I bought the vehicle in Georgia.

It is in the shop as we speak.

So, I have to slip into neutral to turn it on. All dumb and a huge waste of money.
