Stalling Kia Fortes Are Driving Owners Crazy
Certain stalling Kia Forte models have been leaving drivers stranded as a result of transmission troubles and engine concerns. Here at 1 800 LEMON LAW, we have seen a number of stalling Kia Fortes back at the shop repeatedly, despite continuous repair attempts.
It started when 2019 model Kia Fortes were recalled after drivers were left with a sudden loss of power, vehicle shaking, sludge buildup on the engine, and/or a terrible burning smell. These problems most often came from a broken driveshaft, a major oversight on the part of the manufacturer stemming from a lack of heat treatment on those parts.
Several stalling Kia Forte drivers also filed complaints with the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA), with one claiming that the vehicle stalled out at various speeds. While this consumer sought repair and the transmission was under warranty, the problem persisted over and over, despite the repair and after. At the time of this repair, the vehicle had yet to see a recall, and the vehicle failed at 42,000 miles, leaving that consumer stranded with no answers.
