Jeep Wrangler Clutch Problem Leaves Drivers Worn Out

Unless you have been under a rock, you surely have heard and read about the many Jeep water leak claims we have handled over the past few years.  And those water leak problems continue…..not just with the Wranglers, but with the Patriots and Grand Cherokees as well.

Sadly though, Wrangler drivers now have another issue to deal with. This is a Jeep Wrangler clutch problem where clutches are wearing out very quickly.

In one recent Jeep Wrangler clutch case we handled, our client was back to a Jeep authorized dealer six times to address the clutch problem.  At first, the clutch was operating fine but it was making a suspicious ticking noise.

The dealer diagnosed the problem as a bad throw out bearing and replaced the part under warranty.  The ticking noise continued, required a second repair visit and again the throw-out bearing was replaced under warranty.

Two weeks later, our client lost all pressure in the clutch and the dealer blamed the problem on the Wrangler being stuck in the sand (The client works on an air force where the roads are covered with sand from the nearby bay.)  The charged our client over $1,250.  A month alter, the clutch failed again.  This time, the Jeep dealer told our client that there was mud under the vehicle and charged them over $2,300.

Sure enough, the clutch failed a third time and our client went back to the selling Jeep dealer.  The dealer agreed that the clutch should be fixed by Chrysler but the manufacturer now argued that the car was out of warranty.  So, again our client forked out almost $1,000 to fix this car.

All in all, our client forked out almost $5,000 to repair a matter which has been lighting up the message boards and should have been fixed right the first time under warranty.  If you are dealing a Jeep Wrangler clutch issue, make sure you repeatedly go to a Jeep-authorized dealer to have the matter addressed.  Residents in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York can check out our NJ Lemon Law, PA Lemon Law and NY Lemon Law pages for more information on remedies in their states.

    My son bought new 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Had new clutch installed after only 2,200 miles. It was covered under warranty, but they told him they would not cover any more due to they say it was caused by driver error. My son has been driving is only 21 but has been driving clutched vehicles from before he was 16 on the farm without any issues. Now after 1,000 miles his electronic throttle control warning light comes on and looses power, and he is smelling a burnt clutch smell again. Is there been any issues with this new model of vehicle?

      and to day i was drive my wrangler when i make u turn i can’t shift the gear and the problem comes from the clutched

        2013 jeep patriot clutch failed after 10,800 miles, The manager is “fishing” for info from questions he asked me to blame me for driver error as well……I will not pay any bill, especially if it’s covered under warranty.This happened @ Palmen dealership in Racine Wisconson

          I have just replaced my entire clutch kit for the 2nd time in 6 months and I can still hear my throw out bearing making a loud whining noise. it goes away when I slightly press the clutch pedal. I just had the flywheel turned, I replaced the clutch disk, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, and pressure plate. I also just bled my slave cylinder just in case. does anybody have any solutions to this problem. I have a feeling it is the throw out bearing slightly riding on my pressure plate. I also greased my input shaft that my throw out bearing rides on.

            I think its time we filed a class action lawsuit against these faulty clutches. My Jeep Wrangler is three years old and has had work done on the gear box-the vehicle would kick out of gear while I was driving. Now the clutch has to be replaced. I say enough is enough. Time for class action!

              clutch and throwout bearing replaced on my 2010 wrangler at around 35k and now my new 2013 is acting up and it only has 8k miles on it. Chrysler should not be able to get away with this, it is ridiculous.

                The clutch on my 2012 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited went out at 8500 miles and Jeep refused to cover it because the car was 6 months out of the 12 month warranty. When I called to complain they asked what I was doing when the clutch went out and I said I was stuck in snow .. sorry, it’s all my fault, so they say. No, wrong. I was in the snow bank for less than 30 seconds and the only thing I did was change gears from reverse to forward. I was not mis-using the vehicle in any way. Just backing up so I could go forward again. The repair bill is almost $2,000. My independant mechanic (not a Jeep dealer) noted that the hydraulic cylinder at the clutch plate had a leak. So apparently if the hydraulic cylinder leaks it causes excessive clutch plate wear which can cause the clutch to fail at any time. Chrysler LLC refused to recognize this problem and claims the driver is mis-using the vehicle. Apparently authorized Jeep dealers don’t mention the leaky cylinder issue.

                  12,000 miles on a 2012 Jeep JK and the clutch had to be replaced. Two weeks later the clutch slave cylinder blew its seal, the heavy line tech. said it was the oil pain leaking oil. The slave cylinder was replaced 2 days before Thanksgiving. Now my jeep is at the dealer again for a new slave cylinder.
                  Lemon Law sounds great, but I have a lot of aftermarket gear on the Jeep that would be financially difficult to reproduce on a different vehicle.

                    Ok, so my jeep dealer charged me $1500.00 to replace the clutch then found out the transmission needed to be replaced. I bought this Jeep Wrangler new in 2010 and I swear its been in the dealers shop more than with me. There is everything wrong with this!!! I need a lawyer and a new Jeep!

                      2012 jk, clutch went at 15000km, took it to a jeep dealership and they said it was obvious misuse, told me no other cases of a clutch going this early had been reported by Chrysler Canada within the country. Now I find this. $2500 to replace everything. Liars and thieves.

                        Bought 2013 Jeep in March 2013. Been in the shop for clutch issues 3 times now. No out of pocket yet. On 4/28/2014 with 19800 miles on it the clutch gave out completely. Not able to shift at all.. Back in a dealer shop now.

                          Ha,i have a 2013 jeep wrangler sport and i noticed a sound, assaumed it was a trough out barring, now reading about others problems make me just want to sell it and just get somthing more relyable, its only got 41000 kms on it noticed the noise at 35000 kms ruffly, still works but dont no how long waranty will be for bought it from go auto , would waranty still be good and how meny kms does waranty go for on the jeeps???

                            Chrysler put out a technical service bulletin a while back that said the issue is being cause by a bad preload on the throw out bearing. Their solution is to remove the pivot stud that the clutch fork pivots on and place two washers between the stud and the inside of the bell housing. I did that about a month ago and It has been perfect since. No more whining noises. Since you are already going to have your transmission out, you might as well replace your clutch because you don’t know how much damage has been done to it already. The pack of washers from the hardware store only cost a few bucks so its well worth it getting fixed right. I didn’t have a mechanic do this, I did it myself and completed the job in about 3 hours. Let me know if this helps out! Thanks. By the way, I have a 2002 jeep wrangler tj with the 4.0 and 5 speed transmission and I’ve got 165,000 miles on it. It drives like a champ now! Good luck!

                              I’m here @ the dealership with my 2013 Patriot with 24,000 miles, and am being told it is probably the throwout bearing and that it’ll not be covered under the warranty. Minimum $1,000 repair. I have never abused a clutch in any vehicle I’ve ever owned. Ive stayed off the clutch at lights, and only used it when cranking and shifting gears. I’ve got a 69′ Beetle my grandmother bought new that I learned how to dive on, was my first car, and still drive. It currently has 109,000 miles and it’s original clutch. I’ve got an 87′ Chevy 2500 with 80,000 miles with its original clutch. My wife drives a Jetta TDI with 36,000 with its original clutch. We don’t tear up clutches. We are the only operators of the vehicles. I cant afford to put a clutch in this patriot every 25k. I can’t belive there hasn’t been a recall on this vehicle/transmission yet. I can’t over exaggerate my displeasure with what I’ve read and experienced up to this point! Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks, James

                                Well, this is not News to anyone, I have 7000 miles on a new 2013 Rubicon and it literally shredded the clutch pad and almost sawed completely through the bell housing….this jeep has never been off road, and has never been stuck in snow or sand and is still within warranty…but Chrysler refused to honor the warranty….unlike my fellow jeepsters I will never buy another Chrysler product, and will be settingUp a website to warn people away from Chrysler.

                                  We have a 2012 Jeep Rubicon and even bought the extended warranty for $2000. It is not even three years old, and has just over 17,000 miles on it and the clutch went. We paid $1200 for a new clutch in spite of the fact that we have both driven stick shifts for several years. It was not covered under warranty or under the extended warranty. We are pretty unhappy with our treatment and the quality of our Jeep.

                                    Bought 2013 JK in February. Throwout bearing went bad at around 3500 miles and rode on it for another 1000 due to moving from the UK to Germany. Had it replaced – warranty not honored, 650 euro gone – chalked up to offroading (which is silly, if you own a manual jeep you should know to never shift in mud/water and keep shifting to a minimum offroad). Now 4000 miles later it is gone again. It’s about time they put out another TSB or a recall for whatever is causing these issues – be it poor quality bearings sourced by Mopar or preload issues.

                                      I bought a 2013 rubicon and have a throwout bearing sounding pretty awful at 23000km. Jeep said they won’t warranty it because “it looks like it’s been off road”. Then tried to charge me 160$ to find the problem I told them about. I guess you’re not supposed to drive the new jeeps in the rain and if you ever come across a mud puddle there goes your warranty.

                                          2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport.

                                          First clutch went at 33,000. Second clutch went at 50,000 (mostly Colorado highways, so lots of elevation changes). Dealer has “never heard of this problem”.

                                            My 2014 Jeep Sierra clutch just slipped out of gears in traffic, I was unable to shift!
                                            It has 22448 kms on it and I am an experienced stick shift driver!
                                            I have the gold plan 415 extended warranty, will Chrysler be covering this problem?

                                              2013 Rubicon (20k miles) purchased used from local dealer in New Mexico. Jeep has been into shop 4 times for various issues within 4,000 miles / 4 months of ownership. Latest issue they are telling me is clutch related and not covered under the dealer warranty or extended 100,000 mile warranty I purchased. Dealer stated I am responsible for cost of repair. These vehicles are marketed for off-road driving and have manufacture logos stating they are Trail Rated. I have not been off-road and have driven vehicles with manual transmissions since I was 17 years old.

                                              I am contacting my attorney if I have to pay anything out of pocket and look forward to the inevitable class action lawsuit.

                                                The longer I have my 2013 rubicon the list keeps growing. I never had any of these problems with my 2000 tj or 2004 rubicon. My 2013 is leaking from both doors when it rains. Leaking oil from front axle seals when I park on an angle. Both sides. I just paid for a new centerforce complete clutch kit from my pocket because jeep won’t warranty my throwout bearing. Sometimes it dumps all the washer fluid out from cheap fittings used. And more.Just sad jeep.

                                                  My 2012 JKUS needs the throw out bearing or as they call it clutch release bearing replaced, Chrysler group will not cover it. Jeep only has 18000 miles on it and I baby it! When the clutch is not depressed it squeals so loud I can hear it driving down the road. This is not due to neglect it’s due to poor craftsmanship. If you google jk throw out bearing you’ll see multiple pages of owners who’ve had the same problem but Chrysler refuses to help or acknowledge the issue.

                                                    My 2012 Wrangler Sahara Sport has 60,000 miles and at 33,000 I noticed the throwout bearing making a noticeable noise. Took it to the dealership 3 different times and today the clutch went out. The dealer is telling me that it is not covered under warranty, even though I have complained and documented on 3 visits about the clutch. I am going to be out of pocket $1500 USD. My case is at a Dealer in Canton, Georgia. I have been driving manual transmissions my entire life and have never replaced a clutch prior to 100,000+ Miles. This is sad and I will NOT purchase another Jeep/Chrysler product.

                                                      I have a 2012 JK Unlimited. My clutch went out at 8,400 miles and was covered under warranty. Now I have 17,000 miles and it happened again. I called the dealership and they told me the clutch warranty is only 12,000 miles. Has anyone heard this? My Jeep is still in the 3yr/36,000 mile window but dealership is telling me different. This is very frustrating due to the fact my jeep has not been taken off road yet.

                                                        Speaking about jeep wrangler, 2010 to be exact.5 miles on it when I bought it new. So far I am waitingfor my keep to be repaired at one of the biggest dealers in Lakewood , Nj. This is the 4 the clutch that had been installed and i only have 60,000 miles. The first 2 went while under the manufacturers warranty. The 2nd 2 while on the extended warranty While waiting 5 weeks for corporate to throw this around only to find out that this is my problem. I oops there goes another 2800.00. This jeep has never been off road and it is the mountain edition supposedly with all the upgrades. So be careful where you buy your car at on route 88. Chrysler had a bunch of disrespectful people working for them at this particular dealer. Had it in the shop more than it was in my driveway. I am at year old man that bought this vehicle socan get where I need to. Being a liver transplant patient, and cancer survivor I need to be able to go when it shows. But I guess you learn from your mistakes, I will never buy another vehicle from this dealer, whether it be chevy, chrysler, subaru, jeep,. So keep in mind all who ate looking fora new car don’t look on route 88.Could really use some help from Mr. Kane

                                                          My Son bought a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and has never been off road.
                                                          He has driven standard drive for 17 years, we still have a 2006 Toyota Tundra with 156,000 miles on it that still has the original clutch. The Dealer told him it would most likley be $1,800 and now that they have taken it apart said the clutch is down to the rivets and it will now cost $2,600. This Jeep has 33,000 miles on it.
                                                          The lesson here is NEVER EVER BUY A JEEP – CHRYSLER PRODUCT!!!!!

                                                            My wife wanted this green 2012 jeep . The dealer even drove it 3500 miles before we got it. It’s been in the garage since ,no rain , no snow. Very well cared for oh and no 4 wheel activities. Now with 8500 miles the clutch is nearly worn out. The dealer will have it next week. After reading the stories, I think we will be in a pickle like the rest of you. Gosh,darn it. !

                                                              2012 Wrangler. 41k not my first time with a manual transmission by any means. This problem is all over the forums. I bought the extended warranty. Stealer says he has never heard of a clutch going bad on a Wrangler. He says it will be over $1700.00 for replacement and take a week. They will not be doing the work; they will not be doing any work since I find out this great extended warranty does not cover repairs that cost anything. I am ticked. I know, once again, I have been scammed.

Took it to the dealer yesterday (a whole other story there) and they told me it was normal and that nothing was wrong with it. Go figure, 11000 miles and it is normal to sit there clicking…..

                                                                    Just bought my 2015 JKSU in May 2015 from AutoNation Jeep in Littleton, Colorado and I started hearing a noise from my clutch at 8,000 miles. I called the dealership to set up a appointment for service, but since the building was being rebuilt they were all backed up and I had to wait about 2 months. Finally it was time for my appointment on Monday September 21, 2015 my jeep had 15,780 miles on it. The dealership will not cover the replacement of the clutch because it is only covered for 12,000 miles. I totally understand that but the fact of the matter is that when I first reported my issue to the dealership it only had 8,000 miles on it. The dealership will not warranty it, so im now dealing with Chrysler themselves. They want me to pay $1,750 on a car that is 5 months old. What ever happened to 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.? DO NOT BUY A MANUEL JEEP

                                                                      I had a 2002 Liberty I bought new and drove it for 10 years with no issue. I decided to purchase a Jeep Wrangler for its replacement in 2012. At 22k miles, I had to have one of the heads replaced. Now, at 63k miles they are replacing the long block due to the fact the replacement head was version 1, not the updated version and after many trips going back and having oil analysis done, due to me telling them it’s using way to much oil between changes and having a cloud of black smoke during a cold start up. Their response was that was normal. I called Chrysler Customer Care and they backed the dealer. I havw been without my jeep for two weeks now and it is going to takw another week or so to get it repaired. Luckily it is warranty but without my parents extra car, i would have a big rental bill. Now, I too, have to get my clutch replaced and have to purchase it. Also, my drivers side door leaks every time it rains. I understand everyone’s frustrations.

                                                                        2010 Jeep Patriot 29000 miles and been through 2 clutches. First one in March second one this week. What has to be done for a class action lawsuit to be filed.

                                                                          my 2014 patriot sport needed a new clutch this December 2015 at only 1400 miles. Still under warranty. The Dealer told me, this is a wearable item and is not covered under warranty. I had to pay $1,800.oo . I drove for ca. 25 J. Stickshift a VW Bus and a Jetta and had never problems with the clutch. A class-action law-suit would be in order.

Dealer said it is my fault. I drove for ca. 25 years stickshift (Volkswagen Bus and Jetta), and I never had problems with the clutch. Could a class action suit be filed?.

                                                                              I bought a 2015 jeep wrangler unlimited and took out in a heavy snow storm, thinking hey this a jeep and it should be fine, first time using the 4 wheel drive and the clutch gave out leaving me in my backyard!! One year earlier, I had a 2012 jeep lifted from the factory, in order to avoid being in an accident, I went over a small embankment, thinking again ” hey, this a jeep, it should be able to take it !!! Totaled!! broken axle, I guess jeep performance is all talk, by the way $1600 for a clutch replacement

                                                                                I posted in November. Clutch is starting to go for the 3rd time within a year. I can tell because its doing the same thing when it previously failed. I can barely get it into 1st gear, 3rd gear grinds, cant even get it into 4th. SO basically I have to shift from 3rd to 5th. What can I do when it fails a 3rd time within a year??

                                                                                  I bought a 2011 Jeep. Had the wheels replaced by Kaufman and then had issues with the handbrake. Brought back to Kaufman and they mentioned the break needed to be fixed by Jeep. Brought Jeep to another independent mechanic. They tried fixing it also. It worked for a while but then they came back to me saying Jeep needed to fix the break again. The Jeep is rolling if the hand brake is not pulled up a couple of timrs correctly. I will be contacting Jeep also. How can a Jeep dealership get a vehicle on the market with a rolling handbrake ? Also my clutch went bad after 70 K. On second clutch and having issues with the second clutch also. Got new wheels and the second clutch seems to be working better.

                                                                                      2014 wrangler JKU… manual… just hit 6k miles. Clutch is bad… been driving manuals for 17 years and never had a clutch go bad. Jeep will not cover the $1600 replacement. Said my jeep has been off road… it has not been. Complete bullshit. Do I get to do this every 6k miles? They need to stand behind their vehicles!

                                                                                        Jeep Wranglers are plagued by this safety issue which they deem as normal and all specialists including a driving instructor deem as abnormal. It just a matter of time before someone else gets hurt.

                                                                                            My 2014 wrangler Has 48k miles..35×12.50.20 tires..4 inch lift. I drive it in the mud and climb stuff with it. Pull 1 ton chevys out of the it through rivers and anything else that seems like what you would own a Jeep for. Its awesome.. throw out started making a little noise. I fixed it by installing the subwoofer kit. I havent noticed it since. Have you guys looked into the chrysler sedans? Might be a better fit.

                                                                                                . Not covered under warranty starting charge $2000.

                                                                                                        I’ve bought my 2010 jeep mountain with only 6 miles on it. At 12,000 miles new transmission and clutch. At 38,000 miles the famous ticking noise started so I took it in and of course the same story of misused and not covered under warranty. $1200 and 4mths later same noise. Dealer told me that it is normal so I let it go til 60,000 miles and than I took it to a local mechanic shop and that was another $900 for a new clutch. Now at 96,000 miles same thing and this time I got brave and did it myself! One weekend and $300 it runs like a champ. Not a hard job and for $300 for the clutch kit I can do it 4 more times and not deal with the people at Chrysler!!

                                                                                                          Husbands 2012 Wrangler is having the same throw out bearing noise problem. Only 28,000 miles. Vehicle is parked often due to deployments and military trainings that take him away from home frequently and 18 hour work days as a drill sergeant, 4 months outside of warranty. Found a local “Mom and Pop shop” that quoted $450-$550 for labor if I order and bring in the part. Problem is, the replacement parts all have terrible reviews. Has anyone had any luck with replacement throw out bearings? If so, which one? Thanks!

I’m avoiding a shade-tree analysis of the problem, but after reading this blog, I’m concerned.

I was told this was not covered under warranty and $2,400 later my Jeep runs fine I hear no ticking noises. I do believe there is something wrong with the clutch in this year and model.

Didn’t want to but after 5 clutches, 2 master cylinders and a slave cylinder it was time. I had a new transmission and clutch at 8,000 miles, new clutch at 36,000, new clutch at 56,000 and than 2 clutches within the last 6 months. The last 3 that were put in all the springs around the clutch plate were broke or loose but the disc was fine. I fought with the dealership for the pass 4 yrs. My advice sell it and run!! They will never say there’s a problem with their product!!!

                                                                                                            The clutch on my 2016 wrangler Unlimited shattered also at 17K miles.

                                                                                                            After two weeks at a dealer they replaced the fork and throw out bearing but I still have the ticking.

                                                                                                            I had an independent mechanic who also drives a wrangler look at it and he says it is the input shaft bearing and the only solution is to replace the transmission.

                                                                                                            Headed to the dealer soon..

                                                                                                            The clutch on my 2016 JKU Sahara gave in at 23,000 Km. Took it to the dealership three times for this problem. First one dismissed it as “normal” and the second dealership only lubricated the pedal and gave it back. The ticking noise never went away. Finally, last week (Feb 01, 2018), there was no pressure on the clutch plate and I was stranded on the road. Jeep roadside assistance said it would take them THREE hours to send a tow (I am in 10 mins from two dealerships), so I got tow at my own expense through CAA. Jeep is still at dealership (Feb 08, 2018) and to make this worse dealership bs-ed me that it’s a goodwill fix and I won’t get a rental. FCA contradicted this but I was too late to call them. Very lousy dealership and a poorly made car! I have bought new cars before and was not harassed like this.

                                                                                                            Jeep brand is all about false advertisement and it cashes on the image and legacy of the older generation Jeeps.

I bought it used, with 15,000 miles. A few months back, at 27,000 miles, I am towing an one thousand pound camper and was backing it into a slot at a state park. Smoke and the clutch is near toast. Luckily I made it home as I was 500 miles from home and the local dealer told me it would be 3-7 days to get it fixed. When I got back, I took it in and the flywheel was replaced.. $2100.00. How exactly in 6-10 seconds of backing does a clutch burn up and a flywheel warp? FCA has got to be aware they are pumping out trash and charging folks a premium to buy it.

                                                                                                            44k miles clutch goes bad/ makes ticking and creaking. on 3rd but dealer is replacing under warranty once again and they dont do it right ( decide to replace just one part and give it back to me until they finally replace the whole assemby)so it is multiple go backs each time. now since july they pulled the trans and said that was bad and it could be until December until they get a manual trans in since they are on national back order… which says something. noticed a new manual trans manufacturer is used for 2018.

                                                                                                            After 50 years on the road, and about 45 cars, I have never been treated so badly as with this mob.
                                                                                                            Still have my 2010 Jeep wrangler, but have learnt to stay away from them, now just do all my own work on it when things go wrong.
                                                                                                            And no, I am not a mechanic, just taught myself, after being told I would be dealing with their solicitor when I was trying to deal.with death wobble in the very early stages of owning this vehicle.
                                                                                                            Seems, after sales service is not high on the priority list with this crowd.

                                                                                                            2018 Jeep wrangler with 28876 miles approximately 1 yr old needed a new clutch.I have driven a standard transmission automobile for over 40 years, baught my first Jeep and this happens . 1700 dollare later, because the clutch is a wearable item it is not covered by the warranty. This doesn’t seem reasonable to me.

                                                                                                            Spring and summer 2018 – started hearing squeak every time clutch peddle was pressed and released.
                                                                                                            July 2018 – dealer’s foreman mechanic determined the clutch and pressure plate needed replacing. Parts are warranted 2 years. Dealer replaced parts, gave me a rental. New parts warranted for 2 new years.
                                                                                                            July 2019 – same squeak returned. Jeep has 47,000 km (29,200 miles).
                                                                                                            August 2019 – dealer’s foreman mechanic determined the clutch and pressure plate replaced in July 2018 need replacing again. Dealer replaced parts, gave me a rental. New parts warranted for 2 new years.

                                                                                                            In less than 3 years, and less than 30,000 miles, my Jeep Wrangler 2016, manual, has had clutch and pressure plate replaced 2x.

                                                                                                            Had clutch plate and bearing replaced fully 3 times with less than 64,000km in less than 4 years.

                                                                                                            Problem is always a squeaky clutch pedal.

                                                                                                            1st time, replaced within 2 year warranty.
                                                                                                            New parts given new 2 year warranty.
                                                                                                            2nd time, replaced again within 2 years of new warranty.
                                                                                                            New parts given new 2 year warranty again.
                                                                                                            3rd time, replaced again within 2 years of new warranty, that was 6 weeks ago.
                                                                                                            And Chrysler said no more warranty.
                                                                                                            So ….since then, 6 weeks ago, with all new parts for a clutch, and only 1,250km, and I’ve been driving it like a baby, since no more warranty …
                                                                                                            Problem is back.
                                                                                                            Dealer will replace parts again, under whatever warranty or 60 day labour/parts guarantee, not sure.

                                                                                                            I’m 53 years old, been driving standard since I was 16. I don’t lug, or drive with my foot on the clutch peddle.

                                                                                                            2004 TJ second clutch I only got 10 hours each time. I drive hard but my other wrangler has 130,000 with never replaced a clutch 1998 . I know these are old jeeps but well maintained.

                                                                                                            2016 Jeep Unlimited. 52,000 miles as of 4/18/2022. My wife was driving, heard a loud noise and the Jeep would not do anything. Jeep says it is out of warranty. Something flew apart and now I have a 6 speed manual transmission with a hole in it. Caveat Emptor when buying a Jeep. We have had multiple issues with this vehicle which has not been modified nor off-roaded.
