My dear husband bought me a 2008 Buick enclave for my anniversary present, not even one month after having it, I started smelling this funny odor in the car, I couldnt for the life of me figure it out, then another day it rained I saw the water leaking in, we called the dealership and we will not discuss the poor customer service that we have been receiving!! But the first time they stated they had to replace the end of the tubing bc it had become pinched when we were using the sunroof. The second time they stated they replaced the tubing and when it was ready it was raining so needless to say I didnt use it and there was still water leaking in my car that bc it was so cold turned to ice!! Which not to mention soaked a towel.
My bigger issue is ever since this issue, my son who rides in the back of my vehicle has been breathing very heavily lately (and he is NO WHERE near over weight) and I am very worried because I know the smell of an old umbrella that I have been previously smelling was probably mold and mildew that I am sure they have not addressed. On top of that I have been having these serious headaches that I thought were due to the change in weather but unfortunately the weather hasnt changed and the headaches havent gone away. Can someone please help us in North Carolina!!

2008 GMC Acadia. I starting hearing the gurgling of water above the headliner about two weeks ago and noticed that the passenger side floor was wet. It wouldn't start today. I tried to jump it off but when it wouldn't cooperate I hit the internet to see if the water in the roof could be a contributing factor. Boy was I surprised! The internet is littered with others going through the same ordeal. The GM dealership told me that the water leak shorted out the fuse box and that they could reduce the bill from $800 to $400 because they knew about the issue. When I complained that it was a design issue with GM they through up their hands. I contacted GM directly and they said that I didn't have a design problem (me specifically) and there were not recall notices so I was SOL.
I am absolutely disgusted. This is going to continue to happen and it's probably only going to get worse. Ridiculous. Have there been any cases in AL regarding this issue?

Hyuandai sonata ltd 2011 8800 miles just had a rain storm, and the floor of my passenger side is utterly soaked. Console, passenger door, glove compartment area's all dry. The water is coming in somehow along the floor board of the car. taking it to the dealer tommorrow, wonder what they have to say. This is just short of riduculous.

FYI: I've contacted Jeep Corp in regards to another ongoing Jeep Commander problem "Transmission Over Temp" and stalling. Jeep asked me to contact the NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION. I found a number of complaints on NHTSA's website, a few in regards to water in Jeeps.

Here's a list to view/add 2006 Jeep Commander complaints:

NHTSA Number: Toll-Free: 1-888-327-4236 / Hearing Impaired (TTY): 1-800-424-9153

2006 Jeep Commander....leaked 1st on drivers side now on the passenger side.
service dept. air hosed the drains again...3rd time in for this problem...now waiting for rain to see what happens. anyway one of the service guys pulled the passenger side carpet up a little so that air could get in under the carpet to dry it...I looked at it further and it is disgusting....there is some thick rubber under the carpet itself and this is soaked and I doubt it will ever dry....this is where the mold is. anyone having this water leak with a 2010 ?

I bought a 2006 Mercedes Benz (M-B) S430 last September 2010. This past May in 2011 I noticed that the lights came on in the car, which was parked in the my garage after a car wash. Didn't think much of it because I only drive the car on weekends and on trips. However, in July of 2011, I drove on a thousand mile round-trip, and as I was returning home the car wouldn't start. Nothing! My nephew Googled the web and found that water could have leaked in and shorted out the SAM unit, under the passenger left rear seat. The rear tail lights came on and stayed on, so I disconnected the battery and waited until morning. It started and I made it back home safely and took it to the dealer for repair. I paid over $2k for the SAM unit and a front passenger seat SBS sensor, which was what the message in the dash was telling me. This being the SECOND sensor I had replaced.

Well, this September the car had been sitting in the garage and I took it to get washed. Got back home and the same situation occurred with the lights and no starting. Couldn't turn the key FOB. Finally got it to the dealer again. The Dealer is now telling me that I will owe them again for the repair, and in addition, they will have to pull the entire dash out of the car to try to find out where the leak is located. And I have to pay for it. It only took them 3.5 weeks to come to this conclusion. I told them to hold on , and I would get back to them. But I want to talk to legal counsel first, and alert the Better Business Bureau about this Dealership in Lexington, KY. The only M-B Dealership in Lexington, KY.

What would you suggest i do in this situation!?!?!

After having my 2006 COMMANDER, for about month, it rained for the first time and the driver's floor is soaked and water is dripping through the hand rail. I've came across several JEEP forums where hundreds of people are complaining about water in their jeeps. I have kids riding with me and would hate for them to miss school after getting sick from MOLD growing in the COMMANDER. What is JEEP doing to resolve this ongoing problem?

Same, same, same leaky problem. 2007 commander leaking through pillar handles and soaking up floor wells. Chrysler says they are not familiar with this leak problem,so they brought in a "leak specialist". Now the specialist says the glass needs to be replaced at a cost of $355 (there's nothing wrong with glass). Then, after that, the drains have to be flushed at extra charge. why not include with the charge of replacing glass??? Please help. What should we do?

Like everybody else, my 2007 Jeep Commander floods my passenger side floor everytime it rains. I gag while driving in my car from the heavy smell of mold. Now, the mold has gotten so bad that I can not even turn the air on in a 100 degree weather because my vents are blowing out a very obvious smell, MOLD! I have spent nearly $1000 just on detailing my car alone, and I also have no other choice but to drive my 4yr old boy around in this vehicle. Like everyone else, I was told that I needed to keep my sunroof drain clean, blah blah! I am so frustrated! This SUV definitely needs a recall! What do I do??

I bought my 2008 pre-owned certified Jeep Commander Feb. 2010. A few months later water on the passenger side floor. Good thing as soon as I bought the vehicle, I bought weather tech floor mats so, nothing has happened to the carpet. I took it in the first time I saw the leak they had it for 2 days and couldnt find anything. I got my windshield replaced because they said maybe it's leaking. There is still water. The windshield guys diagnosed it for me saying it's a common problem and should be recalled that water comes in from the fresh air vent. I made a appt. for the Jeep techs to re-diagnose it. I swear if they don't fix it i'm going to Freak out! My engine feels like it's starting to stall also. What a pain in the butt! I won't buy another if they can't seem to fix the vehicles they make.

I have been driving my 2009 Acadia for a little over a year. In Feb. of 2010, after all the Chicago snow began melting, i noticed a strong moldy odor in the car. At the time i figured my kids probably left a sippy cup under the seat or something...then after a complete detail of the car, i realized one day as i was leaning out of the driver side window at the ATM that the smell was coming out of the window panel. I brought it into the dealer and after 3rd visit (once for them to order the parts, twice for them to tell me they ordered the wrong parts, and third time for them to "fix" the problem) the mold smell is still there! Looks like i will have to take the car back 2 more times before they will actually do something to fix the problem.
In the meantime, after reading some other posts, I am seriously wondering if the mold is to blame for the headaches i have been experiencing for the last 8months. I am a healthy 26year old with no previous health related issues and in the last 6months have had a MRI, blood work and been on several medications (that havent helped AT ALL) to treat the headaches. Coincidence????

We had heavy rain in Woodbridge VA last night and for some unknown reason the sunroof on my 2006 Jeep Commander decided to open up (first time this ever happened) and this morning I found standing water in my car. The sunroof will not close now; it remains stuck in the open position. I bought a Chrysler extended warranty plan, should I report this as a Lemon or take it in for service?

2006 Jeep Commander (purchased brand new from lot in 2007). Same problems stated above. Sunroof leaks, rain runs down and drips from hand grips, continues down under the dashboard - damaging wiring. We've had the speakers replaced once, as well as the drainage tubes. We were told that the sunroof is not included under the additional Lifetime Warranty we purchased, but the drainage tubes are. Dealing with dealership is like beating our heads against the wall, so we have used duct tape around the sunroof. That worked last year, but today after a short heavy rain - more water leakage. Our reports/repairs begain within the first year of purchase and we smell mold/mildew (its disgusting).

In Texas too,
Roy and Karen P.

Please help!!!! I have taken my car in for routine service visits and would ask each time if there was any issues or recalls with my car but was told by the service rep each time no that everything was ok. My problem occured on 7-6-10 when I took my car in for hail damage repair. After the car being at the repair shop for almost 3 weeks it would not start. The repair shop then found my battery covered in water and after serveral calls to Saturn service department because all the lights going off and on they finally get the car to started. The repair shop takes the car the Saturn service department to find out there is a problem with the sunroof not draining properly. The repair man said when he went to turn the car off it kept running without the key. I then spoke with the service department and she said that this is something that didn't occur over night and this has been going on for sometime. Now the car has a wet, moist smell and then tuesday after getting gas I get back in the car and the radio is completly blank and it is flashing park assist off on the dash. It stayed that way for about 1 min or 2 then everything went normal again. WHAT SHOULD I DO????? VERY DISSATISFIED SATURN CUSTOMER!!!!!!
