Kimmel

Wilmington,
DE-- Kimmel & Silverman, a Lemon Law firm that has provided
cost-free legal help to more than 30,000 consumers throughout Pennsylvania
and New Jersey, has expanded into Delaware. The Firm's new office,
located at 501 Silverside Road in Wilmington, is designed to provide
cost-free lemon law and breach of warranty help to distressed drivers
throughout The First State.
With offices
in Ambler, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; and Haddonfield, NJ, Kimmel &
Silverman has been helping consumers fight for their rights under
the State Lemon Laws and the Federal Warranty Laws for more than
a decade. The Firm has grown to include eighteen attorneys and is
the only Lemon Law firm in the Nation to ever be honored by the
American Bar Association. Kimmel & Silverman currently handles
one in four lemon law claims filed nationally, making it the largest
practice of its sort in the nation.
Renee D. Veney,
Esq. (Newark, DE) has been hired to manage the office. Ms. Veney
previously worked with the Wilmington law firm of Elzufon, Autin,
Reardon Tarlov & Mondell, P.A. She earned her J.D. at Widener
University School of Law and is a graduate of Morgan State University.
The Delaware
Lemon Law provides assistance to drivers whose cars suffer a non-conformity,
first reported within the first twelve months of ownership, that
can not be fixed after a reasonable number of repair attempts. The
Magnuson Moss Warranty Act provides protection for consumers whose
cars suffer a defect during the manufacturers' original or extended
warranty period, which can not be fixed. Remedies under these Laws
include full or partial refunds, extended warranties, or new vehicles.
The Laws provide a fee shifting provision, which states that if
the consumer prevails, the manufacturer must pay all the clients'
attorney fees and legal costs, in addition to the award. If the
consumer uses the Firm's services and doesn't prevail for whatever
reason, there is still no charge.
